For nearly three decades, Suehaila Amen has dedicated her career to fostering relationships and understanding between foreign governments, academic institutions, and grassroots communities. She focuses on programs that empower students to promote learning, social justice, and community empowerment.
Amen has participated in numerous global public diplomacy missions on behalf of the United States, facilitating meetings, DEI training and leadership programs, and discussions on community engagement, capacity and community building, speaking nationally and internationally.
She has and continues to serve and volunteer with multiple non-profit organizations in Michigan and has been actively involved with the greater Muslim and Arab American community, nationally. Additionally, she and her family were featured on TLC’s All-American Muslim reality show in 2011-2012.
